Covid 19 lockdown has adversely affected families of daily wage workers resulting in increased ineptness, hunger, poverty and has created vast educational gap.

Aim

To provide relief to the above families by providing grosser bag including raw food material like wheat flour, Pulses, lentils, Rice, Sugar, Tea powder, Oil, Salt, Spices, Soap, Sanitizer, Hand wash, Packets of sanitary napkins.

Post lockdown rehabilitation support

To bridge the educational gap of the students who particularly suffered from school closures due to lockdown

Distribution of educational materials-

Educational material including text books, exercise books, schoolbags, art materials like drawing sheets , crayons. Sitting mats , white board along with mask. Educational support tutorials were provide through our ‘shikshanmitras’. They are extending their knowledge and facilitate studies through quizzes, and competitions. Now it is more than nine months these children are away from schools and our nine shikshanmitras in Amravati and Yavtmal are bridging the gap.


Today’s distribution of food packets at super speciality hospital Amravati on the auspicious occasion of Vesak day ( budhha pornima). dhammachari Sanghveer, Manjuvadit and Abhaynavita were present for the event.

On behalf of Bahujan Hitay Society Amravati, a renowned organization for women empowerment and educational empowerment at local Amravati, the needy and economically weak at Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Medical College and Hospital Distribution of kits containing 2 boiled eggs, glucose biscuits, mineral water bottles, and masks, etc. to Corona patients and their relatives. On this occasion, Amitayus alias Pravin Wankhade, CEO of Bahujan Hitay Society, urged the patients that in this difficult time all the doctors, nurses, ward boys, and human and mechanical systems of the hospital are serving all the patients by risking their health. Help should be patient. And today’s work was stated to continue for the next week and expressed the desire to contact the organization if you find any help regarding gender-based violence and discrimination. Along with Dr. Rajendra Ingole Sir, Medical Superintendent of Punjabrao Deshmukh Medical College and Hospital, on this occasion, Bahujan Hitay Society congratulated all the young workers of the organization for the work they are doing in helping patients and Corona-affected families. 

This program was conducted by Bahujan Hitay Society’s Corona Help Team Leader Nitin Dongre and Dr. Deshmukh Madam of Punjabrao Deshmukh College expressed her gratitude to Bahujan Hitay Society for the work undertaken by the organization in this difficult time, where everyone has locked themselves in, seeing the need of these difficult times, and also expressed her intention to continue joint initiatives for patients. Also the social worker of the hospital Hon. Pradeep Kharbade Sir, Suchikirti alias Milind Patil, Aniruddha Gedam, Atul Khadse, Shilpa Gaddling, Nitin Dongre, Prachi Adhavu, Prashik Devre, Arya Wankhade, and staff were present.
